The 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin is perfect for the fun lovers!
Without out us adding to the commentary, the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin has received its fair share of publicity, both positive, its innovation is its biggest plus, and negative, Google the infamous toilet incident! But for the most part, we have only positives to report. Having scored a hard to get stay on its second, and still booked out, week of opening, we were one of the first to experience the hotel. Chosen primarily for its views of the Zoo and its artistic styling, the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin was the perfect choice. The rooms exemplified the minimalistic contemporary feel of today’s most modern hotels but made it more unique with the artistic touches to the rooms and public spaces. Its main areas are also artistically decorated and include homely touches, which make you feel like you are living a hipster’s lounge room. The rooftop bar and restaurant are also a great place to frequent, as they are always busy and full of atmosphere. The main negative of our stay was the lighting in the room. At night, the coloured lighting is too dim, making it eerie and hard to put on makeup. In saying that, we still feel that its worth staying because it’s affordable, interesting, and provides cool features such as free wifi, bike rental, and mini cooper rental!

Buddha Bar Hotel is an eclectic Eurasian fusion of east meets west.
We could not love Prague more! On our whirlwind tour of Europe, Prague was, without a doubt, our favourite city. But more on that later! For now, we are reviewing the Buddha Bar Hotel in Prague. Upon our arrival, our taxi driver exclaimed that it was the best hotel in Prague and the hotel definitely lived up to that title. With an eclectic modern Eurasian styling, rooms even feature a meditation sand garden with a Buddha statue in the centre, the rooms are sure to excite! Each room also features a full size bathroom with the signature Buddha Bar Hotel freestanding dragon embellished mosaic bathtub (boy, was that a mouthful) complete with a bathroom TV and luxury L’occitane products. We highly recommend visiting the Buddha Bar below the hotel or their uber cool restaurant below the bar that is watched over by the giant Buddha statue. These venues are where the cool and sophisticated types of Prague frequent and therefore expect prices to match, in what is usually a very cheap city compared to its European counterparts. The breakfast is also very good with a small selection of continental options and an a la carte hot meal included in the price. Overall, we love the Buddha Bar Hotel in Prague, as it added an additional element of excitement to what is already an amazing city!

Never did the last letter of the alphabet look so cool. In the form of some seriously cool towns beginning with the letter ‘Z’, Switzerland is single handedly bringing zexy back! For those not familiar with the breathtaking Alps of Zermatt or the indie underground of Zurich, then you had better get googling right now. Switzerland, though infamously expensive, is at the top of my must see lists. We were blessed to visit on our recent Europe trip so here is a run down of our two favourite cities and where to stay!
Zurich is the transfer hub of Switzerland. On my first visit to Zurich, I hated it. Luckily, my opinion was completely changed on my second visit, thanks to the lovely folk at the Zurich Tourism center. The Stories of the Old Town Guided Walking Tour allowed us to discover the indie underbelly of such a great city and we instantly fell in love. It is a must for every Zurich visit!
We recommend staying at the Zurich Marriott Hotel for a great location, modern styling, and affordability.

Having previously visited Engelberg, which we love dearly, we weren’t sure how we would feel about Zermatt. Fortunately, we love Zermatt, even a little bit more than Engelberg! Zermatt is a true winter wonderland where you can indulge in luxury accommodation, chill out at the super fun Apres Ski venues, and learn how to master skiing or snowboarding. Coupled with the luxury of Zermatt are the expensive price tags and therefore finding good and affordable accommodation can be a hassle, especially during peak season. That’s why we recommend staying at the Hotel Testa Grigia, a three star hotel with a reasonable price tag and a recent four-star refurbishment. It was a comfy and clean hotel, which has the perfect location in the middle of the main road in Zermatt!

We were hosted by Zurich Tourism and Zermatt Tourism for our sight-seeing, not hotels, but our opinion is our own.

Hotel Topazz Vienna is a charming boutique hotel.
Vienna, or Wien, is one of the most charming cities in the world. With ethereal churches, cobblestoned alleys and historic centres, and world famous Manner wafers, Vienna made its way into all of our hearts. To match the charm of the city, everyone needs to a charming boutique hotel experience. Enter the Topazz Hotel in Vienna. The Topazz Hotel is a boutique design hotel, conveniently located near Stephansplatz, the centre of Vienna. The hotel is designed with functionality in mind. Although compact, the rooms provide you with all the travel necessities wrapped up in modern and chic package. Our favourite part of the room was the signature Topazz window. Deluxe Rooms and higher categories feature the signature Topazz circular window with daybed in the windowsill. Many days and nights were spent on the daybed admiring the Viennese winter sunshine. Our only complaint was the central heating, which always seemed to be too hot and we were unable to adjust the thermostat. But as it was winter, we were able to open the window, which cooled the room down. Other than that minor glitch, we loved Hotel Topazz and would love to return.
